TRANSPORTATION SUGGESTIONS: It's a 10-minute walk north of Ashby BART. Paid street parking is available, but as always, we strongly suggest public transit, biking, or ride-sharing, as possible.

Repertoire, instrumentation, and schedule are as follows, with conductor David Möschler and guest conductor Brian Adam McCune:

2:00–2:50 p.m. - Richard Wagner - Prelude to Act III from Lohengrin

INSTRUMENTATION: 3 flutes, 3 oboes, 3 clarinets (A), 1 bass clarinet, 3 bassoons, 4 horns (F), 3 trumpet (C), 3 trombones, 1 tuba, timpani, 2 percussion (triangle cymbals), strings

3:00–4:00 p.m. - Ferde Grofé - Mississippi Suite (all four movements)

INSTRUMENTATION: 2 flutes, 1 piccolo, 2 oboes, 1 english horn, 2 clarinets (B-flat), 1 bass clarinet, 2 bassoons, 4 horns (F), 3 trumpets (B-flat), 2 trombones, 1 bass trombone, 1 tuba, timpani, percussion (cymbals, snare drum, bass drum), celesta, harp, strings

4:10–5:00 p.m. - Robert Bradley - Tom and Jerry "Blue Cat Blues” arr. John Mortimer)

INSTRUMENTATION: 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets (B-flat), 1 bass clarinet (opt.), 2 bassoons, 1 alto saxophone (opt.), 1 tenor saxophone (opt.), 2 horns (in F), 3 trumpets (B-flat), 3 trombones, 1 tuba, timpani, xylophone, drum set, percussion (cymbals, woodblocks, tambourine, triangle, mouse squeak), piano (opt.) , strings

Please bring a music stand. We'll have chairs, sheet music, and water and beer for the musicians!

The sign-up deadline for all sections is Saturday, January 20.
