CONDUCTOR AND FOUNDING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
David Möschler is an award-winning musical director and conductor. Equally at home in a pit orchestra, a rock or jazz band, the recording studio, on the concert stage, or academia, he has music-directed over one hundred productions for companies such as American Conservatory Theater, Guthrie Theater, Berkeley Rep, and San Jose Rep, to name a few. Möschler received his Master of Arts in Music (conducting) from UC Davis in 2010. He founded Awesöme Orchestra in 2013 and conducts almost every session. Find out more at davidmoschler.com
OPERATIONS AND PRODUCTION MANAGER
Christina Lesicko is a classically trained violist with over 10 years of orchestral experience. She manages, Accordia Music, her own string-group-for-hire company. Having been in the orchestral world most of her life, she wanted to expand her career into non-profit arts management. She has been playing with the group since day one, and is also our Viola Ambassador.
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Emma Gavenda is a Bay Area born-and-raised pianist, harpsichordist, and singer. She has worked in administration and production for the Boston Early Music Festival, the Berkeley Early Music Festival, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, and American Bach Soloists. She has been playing with Awesöme Orchestra since she moved back from Boston in 2013, and has served as Awesöme Orchestra's Keyboard and Harp Ambassador since January 2016.
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Genessa Kealoha is a multi-media artist, upright bassist, and singer. She has worked in arts administration and communication for the SFMOMA Artists Gallery, the Red Poppy Art House and THE THING Quarterly, and assisted in producing events with organizations such as Undercover Presents, and The Crucible. Focused on music and film in her own creative work, Genessa fell in love with Awesöme Orchestra's adventure-seeking ethos, and film score repertoire. Visit GenessaKealoha.com to learn more.
HEAD STAGE MANAGER AND MUSIC LIBRARIAN
Stephen Treder prepares music for each session, maintains the music library, transports orchestra equipment, and sets the stage at Awesome Orchestra venues. You'll often find Stephen moving the timpani, and handing out music at our information table. With over 15 years experience as a trombonist in community music ensembles, he performs throughout the bay area, and was librarian and a founding board member of the Saint Helena Community Band
