However, we are saving a small number of pay-what-you-can tickets (40 total) for day-of walk-ups at Freight & Salvage. These are very limited, so make sure to arrive early (doors open at 6:00pm) to snag these. Limit 2 pay-what-you-can tickets per person. Remember to bring proof of full COVID vaccination and photo ID.

Awesöme Orchestra is honored to be collaborating for the third time with singer / songwriter Carina Ho (ONIKHO) for two pieces newly arranged for full orchestra, as well as Andrea Diaz (Dia Luna) for her new song “Walk in Beauty” which we premiered at Session 77 earlier this year. Vocalists Bakari Holmes, Moorea Dickason, and Andrea Diaz will be joining us for “Sweet Thing” and “That’s The Way of The World” by Chaka Khan and Earth, Wind & Fire. Showcasing two local conductors who hopped onto the Awesöme Orchestra podium for the first time in 2021, we’re excited to welcome Sue Crum and Dr. Sixto F. Montesinos Jr. to the community! And, we’ll also be premiering a new movement of Requiem Sinfónica by our very own flutist, Arturo Rodriguez, as well as new pieces by Holly Mead and Juan Pablo Contreras. You don’t want to miss this amazing lineup!

WHEN: Sunday, December 12, 2021, Doors @ 6pm, Show @ 7pm

WHERE: Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse 2020 Addison St, Berkeley, CA

COST: Free for participating musicians. All ADVANCE IN-PERSON TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT. A limited number of seats (40 total) will be saved for walk-ups on the day of the concert for pay-what-you-can. No one turned away for lack of funds (until we hit venue capacity!)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Would you like a free ticket to the concert? Sign up to volunteer as an usher or Front of House staff member for the evening. We need about 10 volunteers, so first come first served! For more information, email development@awesomeorchestra.org

TRANSPORTATION SUGGESTIONS: Just over one block from Downtown Berkeley BART. Parking in downtown Berkeley can be very crowded, so as always, we strongly suggest public transit, biking, or ride-sharing. Here's a list of parking garages in the area.

FOR MUSICIANS

If you want to join, there is NO sign-up form, but you can email your Section Ambassadors to inquire about availability. There will be required rehearsals before the show (dates: 11/28, 12/5, 12/11 - all rehearsals will be 1-5pm in Berkeley, depending on which pieces you’re needed for). Even if you're not able to play with us this time, we'd love to have you join us as an audience member or volunteer. Come support your community and help us spread the word by telling your friends and family!

All musicians and audience members will be REQUIRED to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter the venue. Absolutely no exceptions
