Things are about to get more AWESOME! Announcing Session 76 & 77!
Come join Awesöme Orchestra for Session 76 on Sunday, September 19 from 2-5pm at a new venue - YMTC's Outdoor Stage in Aquatic Park in Berkeley! This brass and woodwinds session (sorry strings - but read below for Session 77!) will feature music from Star Wars, a new piece by Dale Trumbore, and another movement of the The Planets suite arranged for big band by Jeremy Levy.

REPERTOIRE & SCHEDULE
2:00 - 3:00pm - “Yoda’s Theme” and “The Forest Battle” from Star Wars Trilogy by John Williams (arr. for wind ensemble by Donald Hunsberger)
3:15 - 4:00pm - Fearless Canyon by Dale Trumbore (for wind ensemble)
4:15 - 5:00pm - “Uranus” from The Planets by Gustav Holst (arr. for big band by Jeremy Levy)

This is an OUTDOOR SESSION. All attendees will be REQUIRED to wear face masks when not actively playing their instrument or drinking.
We will be slightly more spread out than normal, but we won’t be keeping six feet between players. Musicians are welcome to sit one player per stand if they wish.
REGARDING POSSIBLE AQI ISSUES: We will be closely monitoring the Air Quality forecast and if it looks like the AQI might be over 100, we’ll move this session to Sports Basement in Berkeley (same date & time).

We’ll send out our musician sign-up link on Monday, September 6 at noon - so keep your eyes on your inboxes if you want to sign up to play! Full instrumentation and details will be included with the sign-up link.
FOR AUDIENCE MEMBERS
We’re asking potential audience members to RSVP so we can keep an eye on the overall capacity of the event. The link to RSVP as an audience member will go LIVE on Monday, September 6 at noon in our next email. As always, this Open Session will be FREE for all audience members (and all ages are welcome and encouraged!)
Session 77: Full Orchestra @ Oakland Museum of California
We’re still putting the details together for this special FULL ORCHESTRA session, but we can share that we’re planning to have Session 77 in mid-October in the outdoor garden at OMCA and it will be the first time that we’ve had a full session in over 20 months! We hope to see you there!
