We're excited to finally be back in San Francisco playing at the MOMA for the first time with a fun and eclectic set of pieces!

WHEN: Saturday, 24 March 2018, 1:00–4:00 p.m.

WHERE: Public Knowledge Library, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 151 3rd St., San Francisco, CA

TRANSPORTATION SUGGESTIONS: It's equidistant from Montgomery and Powell Street BART stations in downtown SF. Limited paid street parking is available, as well as their own paid parking garage, but as always, we strongly suggest public transit, biking, or ride-sharing, if possible.

Repertoire, instrumentation, and schedule are as follows, with conductor David Möschler:

1:00–1:45 p.m. - Camille Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre, op. 40

INSTRUMENTATION: 2 flutes, 1 piccolo, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets (B-flat), 2 bassoons, 4 horns (G, D), 3 trumpet (D), 3 trombones, 1 tuba, timpani, 4 percussion (xylophone, triangle, cymbals, bass drum), harp, solo violin, strings

2:00–3:00 p.m. - Arturo Rodriguez - "Kyrie" from Requiem Without Words (premiere reading)

INSTRUMENTATION: piccolo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, english horn, 2 clarinets (B-flat), 2 bassoons, 4 horns (F), 2 trumpets (C), 3 trombones, 1 tuba, timpani, 2 harps, strings

3:15–4:00 p.m. - Pokémon Medley - Junichi Masuda (arr. for full orchestra by Andres Soto)

INSTRUMENTATION: 2 flutes, 1 piccolo, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets (B-flat), 2 bassoons, 4 horns (in F), 2 trumpets (B-flat), 2 trombones, 1 tuba, timpani, drum set, 4 percussion (wind chimes, suspended cymbal, xylophone, tambourine), electric guitar (optional), harp, strings

Please bring a music stand. We'll have chairs, sheet music, and water and beer for the musicians!

The sign-up deadline for all sections is Sunday, March 11. Once that date has passed, expect an email from your Awesöme Ambassadors with specific info and part assignments within the week (check your spam filters if this is your first session).
