Session 57: Holst & Mahler

  • San Francisco Public Library 100 Larkin Street San Francisco, CA, 94102 United States (map)

We're kicking off our summer season with Session 57 at San Francisco's Public Library Main Branch and it's all about the Gustavs! We'll be playing in the side courtyard outside the Fulton St. entrance so bring your music stands and sunglasses!

*WEATHER UPDATE: We are all confirmed for SFPL. Expect cloudy skies, so bring layers, hats, and sunglasses!*

The AOC family is excited to welcome back guest conductor Olin Hannum! He'll be starting off the afternoon with Gustav Holst's First Suite in E-flat for Military Band. Afterward, the full orchestra will join in for Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1 in D, movements 2 & 3. The deadline for sign-ups is May 20th.

The sign-up deadline for all sections is Sunday, May 20. Once that has passed, expect an email from your Awesöme Ambassadors with specific info and part assignments within the week (check your spam filters if this is your first session). Email your ambassadors if you haven't heard back by May 23. (Please be patient—they have a lot of information to collect before emailing everyone.) Their information can be found here.
